Eating Out

On a Caribbean caye surrounded by reefs and populated by fishermen it will be no surprise that seafood is ubiquitous, fresh and delicious. With lobster and conch (season dependant) vying with barracuda and shrimp for a place on your plate. With Mexican, Chinese, American, European and even Indian settlers, there is a scintillating range of international food available from a diverse range of outlets from standing up at one of the many ad-hoc beach barbeques, to seated at one of the fine dinning establishments.

Located a block behind cayereef local chef Maurice serves authentic Belizean food in an informal environment at Wish Willy Bar & Grill. Great for breakfast, lunch (when they do it) or a great value menu free dinner.

Ever popular Habenero's is one of the most expensive on the caye, offering a diverse menu of Mexican, home made pasta and locally inspired meals.

Agave bakes the best pizzas on the caye which, along with their rum punch, may explain its popularity.

Close by is the up-market beach front Italian restaurant, Don Corleone.

For a great flavor of Caribbean cooking we recommend Glenda's. One of the anchors of the restaurant scene. It's been a favorite of veteran travelers to Caye Caulker for years, and it's very popular with local residents. The entire menu fits on a small chalkboard in the entrance to the restaurant. Very economical.

Another local favorite is Syd's. It serves traditional Belizean Cuisine of rice and beans, fish & chicken dishes.

The Sand Box offers that rare blend of quality bar food at affordable prices, served with their excellent eye-watering home made chilli sauce.

The Sports Bar, opening out onto the beach, offers more traditional American style bar food with a barefoot Belize twist.

Come enjoy all this wonderful island has to offer and stay in style at our beautifully designed Caye Caulker condos on the beach.
