HERE ARE SOME REVIEWS OUR GUESTS HAVE POSTED ON TRIPADVISOR:
“Amazing Location & Property” - Reviewed 15 January 2016
Not only is this is the best located property on the island, it is also beautiful, spacious, modern & extremely clean. Each room has a private ensuite, large living area, well equipped kitchen, private balcony, large pool & roof spa. We couldn't have been happier with our stay.
“Great condo for rent!” - Reviewed 29 May 2016
Very safe and secure. Best location on the island ( near the split but not noisy). Staff was exceptionally kind and accomodating. We got 2 suits for 11 people and we all fit just fine. Rates are very affordable with larger groups travelling together. Rooftop hot tub was A+ and kept us entertained throughout the night without disturbing other patrons. My son swam in their pool for 8 hours each day.... I don't even know if there is another pool on the island! We were all VERY pleased with our booking. Thanks CayeReef.
“Excellent” - Reviewed 21 April 2016
I have just returned from a three night stay at Caye Reef. I've been going there for a number of years now and it is definitely my favorite place to stay on Caye Caulker. I think I have stayed in most of the rooms at one time or another and they are all equally nice, but I do prefer the view and the breeze on the 2nd and 3rd floor. All rooms have central air, but I usually don't use it as the ocean breeze keeps the rooms at a comfortable temperature. All rooms have a fully functional kitchen and have everything you need other than food to cook. The view from the rooftop is amazing as you can watch sunrise and sunset from the hot tub if you so wish. Bobbi and all the staff are very knowledgeable and accommodating and really make you feel at home. Looking forward to my next trip!
“Great Condo on Caye Caulker !” - Reviewed 29 March 2016
My wife and I just spent a week at CayeReef Condos and we really enjoyed our stay there. Our third floor unit had a balcony with a great view of the ocean and there was always a nice breeze. We used the kitchen for breakfast and lunch and then we went out to restaurants for dinner. Our condo had two spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large living room with a TV. There is a pool which we used every day to cool off. CayeReef is located at the north end of the island, close to many great restaurants and bars. The staff at CayeReef were very friendly and attentive to our needs.
To summarize, I would not hesitate to stay at CayeReef again and I would recommend it to anyone who is planning a trip to Caye Caulker.
“Great Place!” - Reviewed 19 January 2016
We stayed in Penthouse #5 for 5 nights in January and it was amazing! The condo was very spacious, clean and bright. Although we did not make use of the kitchen very much, it was nice to have for the odd meal or light snack. Having the living room was nice if we just wanted to relax on the couch for a nap before dinner. The views from the balcony were amazing but the view from the rooftop is even better! The pool was great to have for a quick dip to cool off. The location was AMAZING - easy walking to lots of restaurants and bars and of course, The Split! Very nice to have 2 bathrooms - easy for a family or 2 couples to share.
"The Best Place in the Best Location" - April 2014
Strongly recommended... We've stayed on Caye Caulker before and seen most of the places to stay. This would be our #1 choice. A nearly perfect place in a perfect location – the Caye Reef is very attractive consisting of 6 units plus a pool and a roof top hot tub area with views both East and West. The entrance area and pool are surrounded by a wall. We felt extremely safe because of the layout, locks, etc.
The manager Bobbi and her assistant Heidi are very helpful and friendly. We used Bobbi to make our reservations on Tropic Air to and from Caye Caulker. Bobbi communicated efficiently and clearly with us about our reservations at Caye Reef and about our reservations with Tropic Air. She offered to have us met when we arrived on Caye Caulker. At our request Bobbi also made our reservations with C&N Cart rentals.
Our unit was spacious with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, a full kitchen and a large living room. The A/C is very strong and there are ceiling fans as well. The unit was decorated with very attractive local art. The description online and the photos are accurate. The unit was very clean. Although it was a bit worn in some places, that's to be expected and we would definitely stay here again. The Caye Reef is built very solidly and although we had units above and below us, we never heard any of the other guests.
Again, very strongly recommended. It's popular and I recommend booking it as early as possible in your planning. Perfect for 2 couples and 2 more if using the sofa in the living room is acceptable.
Excellent place in an excellent location” - December 2013
I did a lot of research to ensure we stayed in the right area on the island. I think this hotel is perfectly situated at the northern end of the island just below the split. Try and get room 5 or 6, these are the two rooms on the top floor. Room 5 is the best as they are doing some construction outside of room 5 and it does block a bit of the view on that side of the building. I can't say enough about how awesome room 5 is, the view is incredible from the balcony or walk up one flight to the roof top deck and hot tub for a complete 360 degree view of the entire island. It's worth nothing that they do not clean your room while you are checked in but we had no problem with that and were actually relieve not to worry about it.
“Amazing hotel in a perfect location!” - July 2013
First time in Belize and we arrived on the first night of Lobster Fest in Caye Caulker and stayed at CayeReef four nights (room 3). This place was absolutely perfect. Central air that worked great- always cool inside. A balcony that was perfect for people watching or looking at the water. Plenty of room with a large living room and full kitchen, and two large bedrooms each with its own bath. The rooftop patio is awesome, and affords a great view of the island, the sunrises and sunsets. The location is close to town and two blocks from the split, but never loud at night. I really can't complain about anything at this place.
“WILL RETURN!! This place was wonderful!!” - August 2015
After much research on different types of accommodations, I decided to book with CayeReef for two couples. Boy, did I make the right decision! This place was perfect - From the small touches like handmade soaps and nice fluffy beach towels in each room to large containers of bottled water to use! Location is close to the split, restaurants, bars, dive and snorkel shops (not that anything is too far away). This is set up with 2 bedrooms, each with it's own bath, huge living space with full stocked kitchen, nice private patio off of the living area. Rooftop hot tub with 360 view. Fantastic A/C!!! Bobbi and Heidi who manage and run the place are also top notch and can arrange any help you need! This was a perfect place on a perfect island. As nice as this place is, it still maintained the island charm. Don't go to this island if you are looking for a Ritz Carlton - go to a big city - but for the island experience, we got it all!!!! The local people are so nice, friendly, genuine - we feel like we made so many new friends here.
“LOVE Caye Reef!” - July 2015
We have stayed here twice and absolutely love it!! We love the view from the rooftop, the hammocks and the hot tub. The units are huge and well maintained. I love that the units have two bedrooms and two seperate bathrooms. It's the perfect place for a family or two couples. Brenda, the manager, is super helpful with anything you may need. I feel that this is the best hotel on the island. You are walking distance from The Split and they will also loan you bikes if you want to venture around the island. We look forward to visiting Caye Caulker again soon and will definitely be staying at Caye Reef!
“My new home in Caye Caulker” - April 2015
My friends and I spent April 17-24 here at this amazing place. The room was big enough for 4 of us and was very nicely appointed and priced. We were in Room 3, a 2 bed/2 bath apartment. Great balcony views on the second floor of the reef and front street. The rooftop deck was an amazing sunset vantage point, and I spent some quality time relaxing in the hammocks. Never got in the hot tub....next time. Bobbi runs the place and the staff are very friendly and they took care of us very well. I cannot say anything bad about the place. Location to The Split was perfect and restaurants all around the property. In addition, this was a perfect location for our fishing trips as we were picked up each morning on the dock behind. I am already planning our next trip in 6 months.
“Wonderful home away from home!” - November 2013
We just returned from 7 days on Caye Caulker and are so glad we chose CayeReef as our home away from home! The condo was fabulous and the location unbeatable - right on Front street with the ocean a mere few steps away! Bobbi arranged to have us met and transported to CayeReef. She showed us around and gave us tips on everything from restaurants to grocery stores to tour operators. Also, she provided a cell phone for our use while there. She or her staff were always accommodating to our needs or inquires throughout our stay. The first thing we noticed upon entering the condo was the A/C - it was a very humid day when we arrived so it was a truly a relief to walk into. The open concept Living Room, Dining Area and fully equipped kitchen was spacious, welcoming, well lit, comfy, clean and beautifully decorated. The tap water was 100% drinkable and, to make guests even more comfortable, unlimited bottled water was provided at no additional charge and without requesting it beforehand. A nice option! The bedrooms were spacious, VERY comfortable and clean, as were the bathrooms (nice step-in showers with plenty of hot water). We were in Condo #2 - one BR had a Queen bed and the 2nd BR had two twin beds, each with their own bathroom attached. The platform bed concerned me at first, as I usually need a box spring for a good night's sleep, but the mattress was so thick and supportive that I never noticed the difference. There was a beautiful walk-in closet with lots of hangars, ample shelving and safe for valuables. The floors were a beautiful non-slip tile throughout the condo. The east-facing veranda was great, and perfect for watching the sunrise. It was right off the LR - with comfy cushioned chairs, a coffee table and our own hammock. There was even a small clothesline & clothespins in an inconspicuous spot there for our use. Great for dripping bathing suits! The rooftop area was really nice with a great all-around view! There are tables/chairs, lounge chairs, or multiple hammocks available. The hot tub is heated for evening use, as the days are too hot anyway. And the icing on the cake, the pool, was sparkling clean and refreshing ! We would go back to CayeReef in a heartbeat!
“Great location on Caye Caulker” - October 2013
We stayed at CayeReef for 4 nights. We were met at the airport and carted (golf cart) to the property. We stayed on the 3rd floor, room 5. The manager, Bobby, was extremely friendly and accommodating. We felt like this was home away from home. Very spacious 2 bedroom condo, fully stocked kitchen, hot water and very comfortable beds. Centrally located, near the split, although we never went there. We rented bicycles which we locked up outside the condo and rode all over the island. This was our first time to Caye Caulker and we can't wait to return and we will definitely return to Room 5 at CayeReef.
“Laid-back luxury” - August 2013
If you want to experience the laid-back vibes of Caye Caulker without giving up the luxury mod cons, this is the place. In contrast to the backpacker budget choices on the island these condos have a pool, a roof jacuzzi with a 360-degree water view and air conditioning that's almost TOO powerful. This comes at a price but we felt it was a good value for the money. Food is fairly cheap on the island, so you won't cook much, but drinks can really add to your restaurant bill. You save a lot by visiting the supermarket and enjoying your rum drinks on the condo balcony or roof. Most of the time we had the roof or pool to ourselves. Two bed/two bath arrangement perfect for our family of 3, but could sleep up to six. Bedrooms were very quiet and comfy. Showers had plenty of solar-heated hot water. We stayed for one week in Penthouse #5 and after a day of diving, we enjoyed happy hour while watching the shrimp stick man, assorted stray dogs and other reality shows unfolding on Front Street beach. Sunrises were awesome with morning coffee and cinnamon rolls bought from the bakery the day before. We had a couple of stormy days which knocked out the internet, but Bobbi and crew quickly got it back on. They are just a phone call away if you need anything and they give you a local cell phone to reach them. Every room in our condo had a view and the location on the nicer end of the island is great, not far from the split. There's a small private beach and our son took out the building's kayak. We didn't want to leave. A perfect stay!
